All of the armors in Dead Space look intimidating, but the Scorpion Level Engineering RIG, with its glowing red welder's mask, is probably the creepiest. If you want the extracted ADAM each girl takes for yourself, the Big Daddy will have something to say about that. If you don't threaten the Little Sisters, he's just a big teddy bear. Each Big Daddy is sworn to protect a girl and will stop at nothing to keep her safe. Big Daddies have counterparts in the Little Sisters, young girls who harvest the stem cells from corpses.

Big Daddies are one of the enemy characters in BioShock, humans who have been transplanted into massive diving suits – complete with a heavy drill instead of a right arm (it's so much more useful), or a rivet gun, rocket launcher or ion laser.
